Who we are and our methodology At Sweetheart Specialties, we carry a wide range of flavor bases for ice cream, sherbet and ices. We manufacture our own flavorings in our quality-controlled laboratory using our own chemist, research and development team located in Rapid City, South Dakota. By using Sweetheart’s Acidric with our flavorings, you will bring a tartness and fruity fullness to all flavors. In flavoring ice creams or sherbets, all you need is one ounce of our highly concentrated flavorings to produce four to five gallons of finished product. By using Sweetheart’s flavoring formulas, you can keep your finished costs at a few cents per ounce. The same high quality products can be used in creating slush flavorings. One quart of flavoring will produce one gallon of 1/4 ounce finished product at a cost of pennies per 1/4 ounce serving.
